I’m Vida Akef, a Graphic Designer, Illustrator, and dedicated visual artist with over seven years of experience living and working in the vibrant creative community of Victoria, BC. My journey in art and design began in Tehran, where I earned a BA in Graphic Design, an MA in Illustration, and a Ph.D. in the Philosophy of Art. In Canada, I expanded my expertise with a Graphic Design Diploma from the Pacific Design Academy in Victoria, further enriching my approach to modern design.

Art has always been my passion, and I’ve explored its many forms, beyond graphic design, I am also a painter, sculptor, and photographer. My work includes teaching graphic design and illustration at the University of Tehran and contributing as a graphic designer and illustrator for Persian broadcasting. Here in Canada, I’ve had the pleasure of working with organizations such as Parsi Development and sharing my love for art through instruction at The Bateman Foundation and The Paint Box art schools.

My mission is to bring creativity and a deep appreciation for visual storytelling to every project, drawing inspiration from diverse mediums and a lifelong love for artistic exploration.
